Keep your chin down and eyes up. This will protect you from getting  hit in the soft spot which is the nose, eyes, and mouth. You want your opponent to hit you in the forehead region which is the hardest part of the head. More importantly keeping your chin tucked and hands up will protect you from getting knocked out.

Shadow boxing is one of the most important exercises to sharpen and perfect your skills.  When shadow boxing stay focused, practice movement in all directions. Imagine that you are fighting your opponent. Practice throwing punches as well as slipping, ducking, rolling, parrying and countering your opponent.

Working on your cardiovascular fitness is very important. All your fight strategy and training goes out the window if you can’t last or sustain round after round.  When your tired your mind goes, your strength goes, your mobility goes.  Then you find yourself in a bad situation.  Can’t afford to get tired.  Fatigue makes cowards out of men.
