ZAB "SUPER" JUDAH
(INSIDE BOXING) The 136-140 pound weight division (junior welterweight) currently has two champions. The WBA/WBC version, Kostya Tszyu (26-1-1, 22 KO's) and the IBF version, Zab Judah (26-0-1, 20 KO's) are on a collision course for a unification bout that should occur later this year.
On June 23rd SHOWTIME will broadcast a fight card that will show the two champions battle the respective number one rated contenders their organizations have to offer.
Kostya Tszyu will entertain Oktay Urkal (28-0, 9 KO's) while Zab Judah will handle Allan Vester (18-0-1, 3 KO's) in what should clear the way for the undefeated Judah to totally destroy Kostya Tszyu.
23 year old Zab "Super" Judah is currently the most spectacular and entertaining boxer in any weight division, excluding Roy Jones, Jr. He has all the skills of a champion with the "killer instinct" his most formidable weapon.
The Brooklyn, New York native stands 5'7" and has lightening quick hands that are unmatched by any fighter weighing 140 pounds or less. He is trained by his father Yoel Judah and managed by the team of Shelly Finkel and Lou Duva.
Since knocking out the impressive Reggie Green (33-4, 16 KO's) this past January on a SHOWTIME broadcast in the 10th round, Judah has not fought for the past six months.
But don't let that fool you. There are no 140 pound or under fighters that are eager to get into the ring with the talented junior welterweight champion.
His dominance clearly rests with the superior hand and foot speed he possesses. With each outing it becomes more and more obvious that Zab "Super" Judah has no peer in the junior welterweight division.
Being a hero in his Brooklyn neighborhood inspires him even more in his quest to dominate his weight class. The trademark platinum bridge he wears and quickly inserts after each bout is New York and Brooklyn all the way.
Fighting primarily in Connecticut, Judah has amassed a following like no other in his division. Like most others at the "top of the heap", Judah will have to show he can consistently win whether in comfortable surroundings or adversarial conditions.
I, for one have no doubt in the abilities to handle any situation put in front of Zab "Super" Judah. Come June 23rd any of you who are not aware of this talented fighter will rush to jump on his bandwagon.
Make your move now, as the bus is rapidly filling.
