BAD BLOOD OR JEALOUSY?

For years we've all heard about the bad blood between Oscar De La Hoya and Fernando Vargas. We also fail to know or understand why. We have heard all the possible scenarios including: both are from Los Angeles and only one can be top dog; Vargas claims De La Hoya disrespected him. And the feud goes on without any of us really knowing why.
It's a Mexican-American thing called player hating. Let me try to explain. You see, Mexican-American's will bend over backward to help a fellow Mexican-American. They will bond together and form an alliance so strong it's next to impossible to break.

WORLD-RATED HECTOR CAMACHO JR. IN WELTERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

World-ranked super lightweight Hector Camacho Jr. of Puerto Rico and hard hitting Arturo Urena of Mexico clash for the vacant United States Boxing Organization welterweight championship in the 12-round main event on the Cedric Kushner Promotions card televised nationally by Telemundo Friday, Sept. 6, at the Crystal Park Casino in Compton, Calif.

A total of six fights are on the "Latin Fury" card presented by Cedric Kushner Promotions in association with George Chung's American Champion Sports.

The card starts at 8 p.m. (Pacific) with gates to the outdoor arena adjacent to the Crystal Park Casino opening at 7.

Highly regarded heavyweight Attila "The Hun" Levin of Pembroke Pines, Fla., returns after a four-and-one-half-month layoff to headline the main event on the Cedric Kushner Promotions monthly "Everlast Heavyweight Explosion" card televised nationally by Fox Sports Net Sunday, Sept. 8, in Lawton, Okla. Levin, who represented Sweden at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and now is trained by the legendary Angelo Dundee, meets Ross Puritty of Norman, Okla., in the 10-round main.
