Because of the various fighting techniques involved and the mixture of disciplines, it’s crucial to have proper MMA gear for use in training and competition. MMA (mixed martial arts) can be a blend of Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, or wrestling. Therefore, MMA gear must suit many different fighting styles. The TITLE MMA line focuses on shin guards, Thai pads, Thai style heavy bags, and a variety of gloves suited for grappling as well as stand up. The best MMA gear is interchangeable throughout the various disciplines. For instance, MMA gloves should be well-padded for striking, but still flexible enough to be able to grab, grapple, and hold. Other MMA gear, like Thai Bags, need to be soft enough to effectively work stand up, but also firm enough to withstand leg kicks and groundwork when removed from their traditional, vertical mounting. Being able to switch quickly and effortlessly from style to style is an important design consideration in all MMA gear. The equipment must accommodate a mixture of striking, grappling, standing up, wrestling, and submission techniques once you and your opponent go to the ground. The full contact nature of MMA means that extra attention must be paid to protective equipment, which applies to everything from fully padded Thai pads to thicker gloves for sparring to form-fitting rash guards. It’s equally important to remain injury free with proper MMA gear while gaining the necessary skills to compete in the ring. You can’t sacrifice one for the other. MMA has come a long way in safety since its earliest “no-holds barred” days and that’s the same way we approach providing the best MMA gear. It’s about constant improvement and performance that allows everyone who enters the octagon to be at the top of their game.
