Our wide assortment of resistance training equipment, like resistance bands, power cords and shadow boxing bands can all help give you the added power and performance to push the limits of your muscular endurance.
One of the most beneficial aspects of using resistance bands for boxing is that they apply variable resistance to every movement. This means that they are easiest at the shortest and hardest at the farthest point they are stretched, so they demand muscle engagement for the full range of motion. This provides enormous time-under-tension gains.
Of any training tool, resistance bands may be the most beneficial because they provide full muscle engagement through the entire movement of each exercise. They are easily adaptable to all levels of strength, and they mimic the exact movements used to box.
The instability of boxing resistance bands forces you to use smaller, stabilizer muscles that don’t get used as often, but provide enormous benefits in balance, coordination and explosiveness.
Boxing resistance bands are also easily adaptable to various levels of strength or ability by simply adjusting your grip, distance from the anchor point, or length of the movement. The more you stretch the band, the more intense the exercise becomes and harder the movement is.
Resistance bands for boxing are also ideal for functional training, which means that they can be used to mimic and improve upon exact movements you utilize in training and in the ring. Functional Training is Training with a Purpose.
Because of their mobility, boxing resistance bands are also perfect for executing compound exercises that work several muscle groups at once and are a great way to get more out of every step you take and every move you make.
Resistance bands are also ideal because they are not only highly effective and applicable to boxing movements, but they are also convenient. They can easily be transported to the gym, used in your home, or packed up and taken on the road. They might be the easiest way to work out when you’re on-the-go.
FAQs
This depends completely on the area of focus. If you are trying to improve hand speed, we would recommend our hand weights or resistance shadow boxer items. If you are trying to improve your footwork or stance we would recommend items like our fast feet trainer.
We have a few options to improve foot speed. Agility ladders, hurdles, ankle weights, and our fast feet resistance band are all good options. While ladders and hurdles don’t necessarily provide resistance in the form of a tube or weight, they do force repetitive movement which strengthens the muscles in the legs and helps improve your foot speed.
Speed Chutes are great for sprinters and running sprints are great for a fighter's endurance and explosiveness. Speed chutes make sprinting harder by providing resistance during the sprint forcing the fighter to work harder.
Yes, you can do that. We have a powerquad system that has 4 attachments to provide resistance to your arms and legs at the same time. This is great for shadow boxing, improving punching power, and foot speed.
